Best coil packs to get is the Mitsubishi coils for our maxima's. They make the car run super smooth and better. Plus they last the longest. They give you the smoothest idle. Search on the forum as a lot of people have stated that Mitsubishi coils are the best.

Symptom started more than 6months ago with occasional misfire. Noticeable only when in drive and and car is stopped (not driving). Did not affect the normal driving or did not notice during driving. No CEL indication. Slowly misfire frequency increased and felt its going to die when in drive and stopped. Rough idle. Eventually threw code in CEL. Went to autozone and got the code read and defective cylinder identified. Bought the coil from Dealer ($142 -10% discount). Replacement was initially puzzling as did no how to disengage/unplug the spark-plug. Even after found how to unplug, plugging was tough. Auto locking mechanism will not lock. After wiggling little bit more (gently) and pushing bit harder external wire-plug locked in. Success. Misfire was gone. CEL got turn off after driving about 50 miles. Thanks to everyone on maxima.org who put the description.
