Need some input on crank seal oil leak
So I need some expert advice on what is going on. I recently replaced my front crankshaft seal, due to an oil leak, and after buttoning everything up I notice oil leaking from the new seal, behind the pulley, and some oil leaking from the bolt head itself.
My question is, Should I go and buy a new crank pulley to go with the new seal? because I read on here that the old seals can wear a groove into the pulley shaft. I checked the pulley and it doesn't feel like it has any "grooves" or indentations anywhere, but it does have a couple of dark rings cause by the old seal spinning in that position. Are these markings an obvious sign that I should replace the pulley? I want to double check before I spend any more money on parts that I may or may not need.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of this. I got frustrated and immediately removed everything, ruined my new seal too ($10 in the trash).
The brand of the seal was the Timken 710356 Seal from amazon. Are there brands of seals that I should stay away from? This seal had a heart symbol on RockAuto.com which is why I bought it.
"Crankshaft pulleys usually go bad when the rubber area disintegrates allowing the outer ring to slip."
So the chances of the pulleys shaft being worn out of spec is unlikely the culprit? The pulley does have 156k miles on it, if this means anything.

If I can find it, I'll snap a pick of a pulley with about ~250,000 miles on it when I get home to see if there are any marks as it and the seal needed to be replaced when I removed it.
I use a brand of main seal named National. These seals are made by the company that owns the FelPro gaskets. Yea they cost a little more but I haven't had one fail yet. Others may have had different experiences.

Here's a picture of the CKPS area (abeit dirty from use) that is dry as a bone with the National seal.

CS_AR, I think it could be just the crankshaft seal. The national one looks way different, better design, than the Timken one. The Timken one has a metal outer ring that slides into the TC, but the National one has what seems like hard plastic/rubber outer ring, plus it looks like it has more rubber for sealing against the pulley shaft too.
