1995 Maxima Woah,s
Had alot of problems with my 1995 Nissan Maxima. Would stall out for no reason at stop signs and or lights. Turned out the be the crank sensor was shorting out. (Nissan refuses to do a recall on this dangerous matter) Changed it out (Front sensor only) and then no issues with that. Was running rough so I changed the MAF and Filter. Had hard starting issues after that. Read on here about ground issues and traced the ground to the block and it was loose. Tightened it up and seems much better. The starter I replaced with a used one and when hard starting It sounded as if the timing was sometimes off. The starter took a beating as the inner gears are made of crap metal. I have a new one on the way. If the timing sound continues I,m going to replace the Cam sensoras I don.t belive the timing chain is streched that bad about 150,000 mile on it.

Recall?
You're just dealing with wear and maintenance on an old car. No big deal.
Welcome to the org.
A great place to practice your search skills.
This post looks like you're just thinking out loud and I didn't see any questions..unless the timing chain was one..?
It should last the life of your car.
The guides and tensioner are another story though.
This post should be in the 4th gen section BTW.
