00-01 HID Retrofit + 02-03 OEM Headlight part
1. 00-01 Maxima headlight retrofit. This is my current setup but wanting to do something else. The retro was done in the summer with custom sheilds, CF vinyl and stuff (check out my build thread for the whole process). Since then I've taken it apart few times for experiments. The housings are Ebay and the lens are OEMs. Driver side lens was restored to get the shine back but passenger side didn't turn out so well. Projectors are E46 Bi-X with stock shield now and painted red, it still has clear lens which maintained the sharp cut off. It's got CCFLs angle eyes behind the Gatlin Gun Shroud but the driver side stop working (inverters are not included). This retrofit is not as fresh as the others but is in decent shape. You can get new lens and it will look really good. I was going to save the projectors and use it for future, but I don't want to take it apart anymore. $210 FIRM + shipping to lower US
The Aluminum tape is no lenger there. It was temporary untill I applied Silicone.
2. Selling a used 02-03 OEM driver side headlight lens in decent condition. Lens is in good shape with few scrathes, scartter haze but not too much. The internals are gutted out, but the turn signals are intact. This would be perfect for retofit practice. $20 + shipping. I have the back cap also. SOLD

More picts.
This is at 40'. It's rainy and cloudy night. Cut off is actually much better in person. That hot spot in the middle is what makes this projector so good at distance lighting. A little different beam pattern than FX-Rs where the hot spots spread to the side so the width is more, but the intensity in the middle is less resulting in less distance throw. I guess its a trade off. E46 shield stock shield is also not flat as you can tell from the picture. center section is higher than the rest. This helps your eyes to focus on the road more than other direction, very much needed when you are in highway speed.

I got some Ebay projector headlights sitting in the garage. Any interests in trading for that? Cash on my end of course.

Weekend bump.
It's been dumping rain here in Southwest WA for a 5 days straight. Took a 4 hours trip in rain and snow the other day and headlights were holding up good. No leak, no fogging, still put tons of light even in heavy reain condition.
