Can anyone with Axxis Deluxe or Hawk HPS chime in please?

Because my rotors are warped (big surprise right?), I plan to change my rotors and pads in the spring. The pads I am trying to decide from is the Axxis Deluxe and Hawk HPS. I've had HPS on my old car, great stopping power, but it squeels and squeeks way too much. So my question is, if you have Axxis Deluxe right now, how are they? In terms of dust and noise? And to HPS owners, if you experience NO noise at all, is it because you followed the correct bed-in directtions? Thanks!

If you get the deluxe plus pads, be prepared to sacrifice braking power for low dust and low noise...thats odd you say the HPS squeals like crazy..most people who have them are satisfied with them...Irish44j and BlackbirdVQ for example...I'm sure beddin in the brakes had something to do with it?

My experience with HPS pads is that everytime I stepped on brakes, it squeeled. The only time when it didn't was under hard braking. It got so bad that going down a street with stop signs became embarassing. , this was with about 10,000 miles on the pads with plenty of pad material left.

I have about 10K on my HPS pads (Brembo blank rotors) and not a single squeek. I don't know if that's because of proper bedding in or the goo on the back of the pad

Currently, I have the Axxis Deluxe pads with brembo blanks. No noise, and almost no dust, I have however changed rotors this weekend because in less than a year my brembo's have warped. I am very easy on my brakes so I was a little dissapointed when they warped so quickly. I have the Axxis on still, so if they warp again, the pads are probably at falt.

Here is Tirerack's bed-in instructions, is this what you guys followed?

HAWK

After installing new pads make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 35 mph with moderate pressure. Make an additional two to three hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph. Do not allow the vehicle to come to a complete stop.

Proper bed in + brake goo on back = no squeaks from my Hawk HPSs.

Got HPS and Brembo's too. I've been really pleased with the stopping power and they dont squeek at all. They really dont produce much dust either compaired to the stockers and especially my old SAAB.

I did follow the break-in procedure and also used brake grease on the shims.

I do get some squeeking now... but that's because of the crap @ss pads I put on the rear. But for $20 what do I expect? Forget autozone brand, DuraSqueal!

Awhile back I bought some ridiculously high priced Axxis pads off of E-bay for the '99 we no longer have, I definitly got jipped, they must have put some cheapo depot's in the axxis box because they had no slot in the middle, VERY poor braking, and they lasted about 5k before I got so fed up with the insane amount of dust they put on the rims, and the fact that they didn't stop the car at all, so I took them out (they were already 50% worn!) and put on a new set of factory pads with the brembo slotted/drilled rotors. Stopped great after that. That was the only time I ever got peeled on flea-bay.

I totally agree. When I changed from the OEM front brakes to Powerslots with Hawk pads, I dont recall them NOT squeaking. It drove me TOTALLY insane; which is why I changed to Brembo crossdrilled with Raybestos pads.

That said when it's time for the next set, I'm going look into refitting a set of OEM Nissan Murano brakes. (The one's in my Murano are easily the best brakes I've EVER felt in any of the many cars I've driven.) But, no more Hawk for me.
