Here they are below. I did this all today on my 2001 Maxima, and will work for any 5th gen. There are DETAIL pics, instructions, step-by-step, and what tools you need to use. I will soon be opening up a website with all the detail information you need to know on what to do with the 5th gen. Look soon for it.

Great work!

Russ - Very nice work. Not sure I'll be doing any of these but it's nice to know they're here if I ever do.

Feel like doing one on hardwiring a radar detector? I'm going through that now and was able to get some good info from the board on removing the a-pillar so I could run the wire down to the fuse box (I also ran it through the headliner and down the cover for the wires leading to the power mirror... clean).

You gave me a great idea with regards to the 3M splicers (I'll need to put the in-line fuse in there and they should make it clean and easy). Still not sure how to wire directly to the fuse box (going to attach to the cig lighter fuse I think) but I'll keep looking via the search.

This place rocks. If it weren't for all you guys doing stuff like this, I wouldn't even know what's possible. Of course my wife thinks I'm nuts but I just point her to the martinf post on comparing his Max to his wife and tell her it could be worse

Again, nice work!

Russ,

You should seriously write a book and get it published!

Russ,
Thanks for taking the time to write all of that stuff up. I can't believe how much you have gotten done on that car already. I feel like you have only had it a month!
Your time on those write ups is appreciated.
