I personally haven't used stp yet but I have used gumout regain which if pretty much the same thing. anyways, from my research, the reason why furl system cleaners can be bad is that sometimes it'll unclog the buildup but the clog just moved downstream and clogs another part of the system. which has caused some serious damage to some cars. These products do what they are advertised to do, most of the time. But I will say, from the one bottle of regain I used, I couldn't seem to feel THAT much of a difference, im sure it did something though

Forget that STP stuff and use Techron Concentrate Plus. It's one of the very few additives that actually does what it claims and is recommended by several car manufacturers.

All snake oil if you ask me. Sea foam..may be the least snake oil of the bunch.

Everyone goes by their oh so reliable butt dyno and placebo effect happens.

A little more expensive but it does help. I saw that my mechanic buddy had this in his shop, so if he uses it then it's good enough for me. He said to only use it every so often, like once or twice a year.

gasoline is a pretty powerful cleaner itself idk how that stp stuff is going to clean anymore.

It contains jet fuel, a high-quality carrier of active ingredients.
This is from their website. Basically it's kerosene so...
Want to buy smart pills? I make them out of high grade placebonium that's used throughout the medical world.
