Intake cleaner

Intake cleaner
Got a pretty good handle on everything else but was just curious as to what brand/type of intake cleaner all the other Max owners are using.
There's a lot of products on the market but which ones work better with the Maxima/premium cars?
I was considering CRC GDI.

I've always been under the impression that those induction services dealers charge a C-note for are pointless. As long as you use premium Top Tier fuel and let all the fluids fully warm up, the engine should be clean and happy. A long highway drive with varying RPMs goes a long way in burning off deposits, AKA "Italian tuneup." Ever notice how smooth an engine idles after a road trip?

I have used BG44k in the gas tank of several of the used vehicles I have purchased along with the Maxima I have owned since new. I noticed the most difference on the used vehicles when it came to improved idle and smoother throttle response. This reminds me that I should run another round of BG44k thru the tank of the Maxima when I am done with repairs.

Here's a shot of the LIM after a half of a can of engine degreaser.
It's what your mechanic doesn't want you to know about after he puts in your VCG's.

What is your goal with the additives? Ive tried all the big brands of additives and the best "in-gas" additive, or atleast i believe so, is just using pennzoil marine tc-w3 with a ratio of one oz to 5 gallons. i buy a bottle for almost 5 bucks in the outdoor section at walmart. you can get almost 5 fill ups worth out of this stuff. its meant to keep a 2 stroke clean so its loades with carbon eating chemicals, and it burns ashless so no cataytic harm. makes my vq hum but its definately noticable when i dont use it. Im at 220k mileage on the motor aswell.

Seafoam is great at cleaning the entire intake. Follow the instructions exactly and be prepared for a LOT of smoke. If you have cranky neighbors you may want to find another place to do it. Do it before an oil change as I've heard it can carry some of the crap into the oil.
I've done it on both my cars with similar results. The first time blew so much smoke I couldn't see the end of my driveway for some time. Did it again a year later and only got a little smoke. This tells me it was burning off the crap and not just turning the product into smoke for a show.

Well i was thinking of cleaning the intake with seafoam since i have never ran anything as far as cleaners in the car. Im about due for an oil change so i may grab a can. I usually run seafoam in all my maximas, but these are pretty sensitive so i wanted to check with someone whos done it before before i damage an o2 sensor or something lol. I usually run mine thru the breather line on back of the intake and let it suck in a little at a time.

Because if you use one, and it ruins your car they don't want to be responsible for "recommending" it in the first place. Not saying it will but we live in a world of endless possibilities.
