Fog lights fuse...WTH

Fog lights fuse...WTH
I noticed the fogs weren't working (I rarely use them, but it was foggy out). Replaced the blown 15 amp fuse in the engine compartment.
Turned HIDs on (auto setting) with the fogs off. All OK. Turned the fogs on. All OK. Turned the fogs off-on-off-on-off-on-off-on and all was good.
Left the fogs on. Turned the HIDs off. Turned the HIDs back on - BAM....fog light fuse blown.
Repeated the above with a new fuse. Same result.
Just for kicks I put in a 20 amp. Same result. Put in a 30amp - all is good.
Put the 15amp back in and shut the fogs off till I figure this out.
So, when the fog light switch is in the ON position and the HIDs come ON, the fuse blows. When the fog light switch is OFF and the HIDs come on THEN the fog light switch is turned ON all is OK.
Is it possible the HIDs, which draw lots of current when first starting up, are somehow overloading the fog light circuit? Is the wiring for the HIDs shared?

Where did you change the fuse? I noticed my fog lights do not turn on at all on my 05 max.
Is the fuse located next to the battery or the windshield washer fluid. The label onfuse box near the battery is all messed up and can't read a thing.

The fog light fuse is in the IPDM box by the windshield washer fluid. It is fuse # 43.
See page 24 in the link below for a drawing of the IPDM to locate the fuse.

Check glove box for owners manual. It's all explained there. . If it's missing, you can download it from Nissan.. Free.

PS : Anyone change fog lights to fancy HID ? Any risk in doing that ?. I would love to know.

Check the fuse under the hood. It's usually that, though it's always possible both bulbs are out.
