Introduction - New 7gen Owner!
Hi All,
Greetings from North Florida. Just a short introduction here.
I'm coming from driving a Mazda Miata for the last 10 years. I loved that car. But it was time to step up. My criteria was (I thought) pretty simple: An affordable, sporty sedan or coupe with great reliability and easy service.
Ends up, that's not as long a list as you might think. The semi-finalists were Mustang Fastback (Ecoboost in my case), Acura TL, Infiniti G37 and the Max.
Mustang reminded me of the Miata...lots of fun but not that practical. Used Acura's were pricey unless lots of miles. The G37 was great all around and I thought that would be it. I found a used 2013 with about 30k miles in the Sport config. but...
Then I drove a Maxima on a local lot. Used 2014 with only 1,000 miles. Quieter then the G with a much better ride. Looks great. Almost muscular compared to the G's slinkyness. Crimson Black was just...different. All the toys (Premium and Tech). I didn't mind the CVT or front wheel drive. Price was the same as the G, but it was a year newer and almost fresh off the line. Someone else paid the big depreciation. Sold!
Glad I pulled the trigger. It's lots of fun to drive. Just starting on modding and that will be my first post after this intro.
Here's a pic because we all know it didn't happen without one...
