First time @ Toronto Motorsports Park (Cayuga)

1st run:
R/T .932
60' 2.683
330 6.972
1/8 10.478
MPH 71.37
1000 13.488
1/4 16.083
MPH 87.44

2nd run:
R/T 1.027
60' 2.523
330 6.783
1/8 10.266
MPH 71.86
1000 13.257
1/4 15.834
MPH 88.01

Any tips on how to get a better time? The 2nd time involved power braking (didn't really pay attention to the rpm...i think it may have been about 1500rpm). I think I should see better times than this with an intake and a y from what you guys post for the average times on a 4th gen auto
We (me and 5 other max's) also ran during the mid-afternoon (it reached about 19 degrees celcius)....maybe a cooler temp would help?

yeah, those are pretty good times.

I have seen most of the 4th gen autos running high 15's - low 16's stock.
I think Nealoc187 posted the other day an average was (15.8 - 16.1) for a stock 4th gen auto.

Improve your 60' times and you will be seeing quicker ET's.

make sure you get some good launches and get some traction off the line.

you should definitely clean out your trunk to lighten your car up. get rid of the spare tire, jack, cardboard cover, and the carpet, and any other emergency roadside safety stuff or tools too.

how many miles do you have on your car??? make sure your car has a recent tune-up. the mods won't help too much if your car is not running at its highest performance level.

mess around with your tire pressure. trial and error. some people were doing the fronts at 25-28psi and rears 40-45psi or 45-50psi.

were you manually shifting or did you leave it in Drive??

maybe try both ways and keep a log for which one works best for you too!!

good luck and keep us posted on how you do

sweet....thanx for the tips man

The car has about 91500km's, so that's about 57187.5 miles. So as you can see, its due for a tuneup soon....hopefully that will help improve times somewhat dramatically.
