-5 speed
-HKS airfilter with self-made intake (see my homepage)
-Changed the rear exhaust muffler with a 2 1/2' self-made muffler
-98 octane fuel

this is pretty much it...
I also took out the spare-wheel and the subwoofer, the tire pressure 2 bar at the front and 3 bar at the rear.

I made a hole in the chassi left side from the battery, like the "cold-air" kit.
only now I keep the filter I the engine room, so it wont be that quickly dirty

Previous I hade the air-filter down in the bumper-intake left side, but the air-filter got too quickly dirty

Se also this picture from my engine room: http://home.no/maxmekker/1-32.02.jpg

I've tried to show how I've done the cold-air hose, airfilter and intake on THIS page.

I hope it will help

Thanks a lot

I'm sorry, but what is a "mevi"?

The grill is stock.

There is some differences between the US and the European Maxima, but it's mostly just the look, but also some differences in the engine and injection system too meet the exhoustgas requirements.

Here in Norway, I'm almost the only one to mod the Maxima...I've probably got the most modded Maxima in Norway, but still I feel like I've joust began...compared to many of the Maxima I've seen in Cardomain.

its the large rectangular box sitting behind the cover that says nissan V6. here they call it the Middle Eastern Variable Intake(its stock on those cars in the middle east). its an aftermarket mod that gives our US and Canada maximas really good power above 6k rpms when combined with an aftermarket computer. over here you are "special" if you have one.

anyway keep up the good work on the maxima

OK!
Cool

Yes it's stock over here.

I know the US Maxima don't have the mevi, but I did not know it made a that big difference.

My engine(when stock): 193hp at 6400rpm and 255Nm at 4000rpm.

How mutch do you pay for a aftermarket mevi? (I've got one in spare)

Peak HP isnt that different. You got 193 we got 190. The thing is your HP throughout the RPM range is stronger. Our HP after 5000+ RPM looks like it falls off a cliff on a dyno chart. We have probably a 40-50hp loss from 5000+ to redline.
people pay about $700 for the MEVI "kit"

My engine just pulls stronger and stronger all the way up to the rpm-limiter, that's why I've got the gear-shift-light

just curious,
what rpm does your rev limiter/redline kick in at?

ours is at 6.5k rpm most people get the aftermarket computer to raise their rev limiter to 7k rpm with the mevi to better take advantage of the power.

The red line starts at 6.5k rpm, the limiter kicks in at about 6.7k rpm.

A higher rpm limiter would be nice

Thanks

A friend told me that the European Maxima is like the Japanese Maxima, but it's got an other name.

Maybe?

Beside the look, I don't think there is much different!

Do you have the Maxima with VQ20DE engine in the US? (140hp)
That's the most common Maxima I Norway! LOL!

Nop
Only 2.0 and 3.0 liter (at this time)

The 350Z comes to Norway this autumn...a lot later than in the US (like almost everything else I guess)
