FINALLY !!! Got my 14 second slip while GLD in Union Grove WI in my 02 Maxima SE Auto

It was 40 degrees, track prep was pretty good, no wind, no humidity. Did all my runs on 25 psi, as per recommendation of others.

Refer to this previous post, for my previous pb times : http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=258070

I SHATTERED my previous bests, here are my times

R/T .642
60' 2.282
330 6.233
1/8 9.504
MPH 74.28
1000 12.348
1/4 14.764
MPH 94.48

Before closing time (4pm CST) I ran one more time, this time, dropped pressure to 23 psi, and did a brief burnout to clear gunk of the Sumitomo HTR+'s

R/T .568
60' 2.230
330 6.199
1/8 9.479
MPH 73.88
1000 12.337
1/4 14.764
MPH 94.02

**Had massive wheelhop on the above run, probably will never go under 25 psi anymore...**

Have you guys ever gotten identical times on the same day ?? In all my times watching bracket racers do their thing, they get close, but very seldom get identical times.

Broke my personal best 60' (2.202) and got a 2.195.

Worst 60' of the day, was the 2.28...yes the same run where I got my pb et of 14.764, makes me think, what could have been...

Best trap of the day was the above 94.48 mph. Worst was 92.63 mph, done on the 4th run consecutively, before I shut her off and let her cool down. I run without my engine cover off, btw.

Edit: In all ran 9 times, 1 15.0, 1 14.9, 3 14.8, and 4 14.7's.

Set pb on reaction time .503. Other notable RT's were .537 . 642 .650

All in all, Im very satisfied with the runs, and feel I can't really go anywhere now, but start the mods obviously and shoot for low 14's

My mods - K and N panel filter, engine cover off, and a newly added bottle of BG 44K fuel system cleaner.

Fellas no BS, it makes a difference, car is running great, my car is running stronger, and my mpg has increased by 1 mpg since dropping it in last week.

nice times! I'd love to see what I could do in weather under like 80 degrees... Those 60' times are quite good, low 2.2's are nothing to complain about on Potenzas. Congrats!

Nice times..How much longer is GLD open 'til? How much did they charge to race? Last time I went there(bought 1 1/2 months ago) they were charging 35 bucks.

Thanks man. In going to the track, your 5th gen was one I always thought of when setting these benchmarks on my own 5th gen.

Im doing these runs on front Sumitomo HTR+'s actually...I still have the rear RE92 Potenza's though. I can get 2.2x's on these tires in my sleep, they hook up great !

Mods this Spring - TS ECU, Cattman Y and B Pipe Combo. Low 14's here we come !

Union Grove is open weather permitting past next weekend. They are open Sat's and Sunday's. $25 to run, usually, you can run to your hearts content, you will find less than 50 cars on days like today. The $35 you paid Nick was probably when they had some other event going on, they choose to jack up the price if its some promotion going on.

Congrats on the time. I really need to visit the track again. I ran this summer when I first got my 02 Max and the weather was crap. Ran a best of 15.00 yup not a 14.9 or a 14.9999999 a 15.00

So how long did the grove say they were going to stay open this year? I just moved to Green Bay and need to try and make my way back down for a little fun racin.

Congrats again and wish me luck for that 14 bone stock. I know she has it in her.

Thanks for the compliment... Looks like its time for me to get some new tires! Your mods to come look like some good investments, I've been hoping to get the same ones myself. Think about the UDP if you're up to installing it... wasnt too bad and it makes a difference thru 1st gear. But nice runs again! Love draggin in the Max
