Testing timing advance...
I just adjusted the timing on my SE-R and it got me wondering...
I'm thinking of doing a write-up on timing advance. I'd probably try using different octane level gases(including race fuel) and the timing advance of each one to get an Idea of the differences. Anyone interested or tried this already? Thanks

Unless you've got access to the Nissan consult, I don't think you can advance the timing. I went a couple of degrees - but still within spec. However, I doubt it helps that much - didn't dyno to find out either.

I am not talking about advancing the timing. I am talking about measuring the total timing advance and retard throughout the rpm band w/a timing light: idle, part and wot. Measuring the differences between octane levels and doing a write-up on it. thanks though.
