hey guys i am going to the track for the first time ever tomorrow(in any car), and i was wondering if anybody had any tips for me. like what tire pressure should i run? i have a 5 speed, by the way. ideal rpm for takeoff?

just if anyone has something they think i should know to have a good showing, let me know...

stock tire pressure is probly best up front, inflated to max pressure in the back. Not sure bout launch RPM, but from what others have said, keep it around 2000-2500. Kinda depends on how sticky the track is. Make sure ya dont drive thru the water too. Have fun!

 

These should be your shift points
1-2 @ redline
2-3 @ 6300rpm
3-4 @ 6000rpm


I get best launching results by launching below 1000rpm. But everyone is different.
