0-60 for automatic

Just for fun I did a 0-60 run with my 97GLE (HAI + ypipe + drop resistor) and got about 7 flat. What is the stock 0-60 for an auto? I checked everywhere but most of them are 5-speed time, which is about mid to high 6 sec.

I've seen road tests in the past that got 8 seconds 0-60 and 16 flat in the quarter so your doin' good. BTW Motor trend always seems to get the best manual times out of all the big car mags and they got 6.6 0-60 on a 5 speed Max.

I got 7.1 on my stock auto and Ben was somewhere near the mid 6 range with just an HAI.

how is everyone calculating their 0-60? i used a gtech pro, but there is some debate about their accuracy.

They are getting it from going to the track, after you race you get a slip and it tells you 0-60 time plus other things.

Try this if you've been to a track:

http://www.teamnabr.com/modules.php?...showpage&pid=8

According to this calculator I'm at 6.8 for my automatic, better than I thought.

Mine says 5.31, but I find these hard to believe. It uses the 1/8th mile trap I think which is a little skewed. My car is a little slow off the line and it accelerates hard at the end of the 1/8th mile giving a good trap speed. I guess it is still neat.

I don't put too much faith in those programs, but oddly the program gives me the same 0-60mph as the G-tech's I've borrowed.......5.5 0-60mph with a 2.20-2.30 60'.

BTW, I don't like G-techs.

My best 0-60 "calculated with Passport G-force" was 6.3 without my speakers amps and back seats out, on 18'inch chrome with toyo proxys. but low 7's allday.

My max can out pull a lincon LS V8's in 0-60's , and there in the low 6.

if the G-force is off its only by about .2 seconds

You guy can't really believe in those computers because they rely on G's to calculate time to speed. The calulations will change just by changing your suspension from stock to lowered (stiffer).

wow. I do 0-60 in 6.09 seconds. lol Sounds badazz almost in the 5s. hehe. I wish that was real although it shouldn't be that off. I ran a 14.762 @ 93.31 with a 2.283 60' in 58degree weather. I'm guessing I should be at 6.2-6.3.

How do you guys know you ran these 0-60 times? There is a site where you can calculate these times but I don't know where it is.

In my case, I used the site I'm referring to for the calculations. I've also looked at other vehicles that run the 1/4 in 15.6 and some were 7 seconds through to about 7.2 seconds from 0-60.

Mine is only 3.4 according to that calculator, gotta get me one of those 3.5L's. (Maybe Saturday)

This one will show how many G's (avg) you pull and speed at 60' mark. Mine is 1.22 G's at 47 MPH

Got a dual stage now so can baby it out of the hole if necessary (50 or 75 shot), will take some experimenting though to get it right or at least better. Should be a fun summer.
