I have a 97 max SE 5 Spd and my bro has his 88 Camaro RS Auto. He brags a sh1tload about his car all the time....muscle cars own, yours is a piece. So i look into stock times. I think there about the EXACT same...15.5. So i have to ask you, since i have y-pipe and Short ram intake, can i take him? i see maxs run mid 14s with light mods, such as mine. BTW HES ALL STOCK! I wanna beat him soooooo bad, and if and when i do, the bragging will end.

 

just race and find out. people here can say yes or no but what will be the truth is what really happens. there are way to many variables in both cars, how are they running? who spins tire when you take off....just race and find out. speculation is rather worthless...personally i think you'll win.

What are you kidding me? You will own that car. Those things are so slow. I beat a 1992 RS in my auto 93 SHO, the 5-speed max is over a 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 mile. You will own your brother provided you drive stick right.

 

just remember whenever u see a RS camaro the rs stands for REALLY SLOW

is it the first time you're getting your license or you had it suspended or something and getting it again? Cuz the real question is how much experience you have driving/luanching your 5spd Maxima. In this case it's all gonna be up to you. Don't forget, it's FWD car with lots of torque. Car-wise you should beat him no problem.
