Went to the track...

Went to the track on Friday with my newly installed Warpspeed Y pipe. Even though I beat my time, it wasn't the improvement I was expecting. My best went from 15.31 to 15.27
The only real difference is that during my six runs, I was running very consistently. Usually, my first run is always my best and then the rest of my runs get worst.
This time, I consistently ran 15.3/15.4 and beat my time on my very last run.

My 60' foot was pretty weak. I was experiencing a lot of axle tramp. My best 60' was 2.331

You need to post a couple full slips from before and after the y-pipe.

What was the weather each time?

What is the same track?

Was you car set up the exact same each time?

My question is what were your trap speeds before and after the Y-pipe?

Check out the shift point sticky. You need to short-shift 4g's a bit. Also, shift speed and technique is very important as well. And yes, post up some full slips.

1000 - 12.893
1/4 - 15.386 @ 89.66 mph

The following is the best of 6 runs with Intake & Warpspeed Y pipe:

R/T - .864
60' - 2.339
330 - 6.502
1/8 - 9.904 @ 72.40 mph

Hmmm....it would have been nice if you anwserd my other questions. What was the weather like each time? Was the car set up the same (same wheels and such)? Were these runs done at the same track? Is your ECU giving you any codes? Even if there is no CEL you might have a hidden code that would be performance hindering.

If the weather was close the same, same track and car set up, and the car is in good running condition then I don't know what the problem was. You "should" have seen more gains then that.

Same track, but it had been resurfaced. Weather was about the same, but maybe a little more humid this last time around.
No engine codes, but some pretty new tires up front. That's the only diff.
