E "clutchmasters" stage 2 clutch kit...FAIL!!

HI GUYS.. my other problem was solve replacing the flywheel and the clutch line with a ss line.. So i dyno my car UNTUNED and with afr in lows 10 and he made 246hp with 224tq... after that all seems to be good and i decided to go to the track and have a basic run too before i can get it tune... that was wednesday and saturday i was on the track.. until track day and after the dyno i not WOT my car on the streets.. was raining .. so i am on the track... make a little burnout ... when the light goes green the car lost fraction immediately as normal and i passed to second to kill the lost of traction and SURPRISED! MY CLUTCH WAS ON LIMB MODE.. WTF.. i let go the gas and WOT again and respond... soo i passed to 3rd and again...limb mode .. i repeat the same with the second gear and when the rev hits 6,500 rpm i let it go on neutral and i ran a 15.5 @ 96 Mph ... the clutch is a complete FAIL.. i bought it from Ebay Eclutchmaster stage 2.. i am very pissed, i was reading on the org about clutches and i am considering bought a Spec Stage 3 clutch.. just want to have some input... i know darren (surraTT) is using it but i like to know what are my options here... thesis what i am considering

Sounds like install is incorrect. I dont know if stock flywheel or not matters. I'm on a fidanza flywheel and I have a SPEC stage 2 and its just fine. I'm going with a Clutchmasters stage 3 for my turbo. I have not heard any complaints about clutchmasters. I HAVE heard many complaints, not from just forum people but also reputable shops and builders about SPEC clutch problems and their customer service being garbage. I would check your install again on the clutch......something not right. Unless you are beating the CRAP out of the clutch making it slip. Stage 2 should be more than enough for the power levels you are making.

hi ranmas.. i check on clutch masters and the pressure plate they use is white on color.. the kit i bought on ebay it a fake because the pressure plate is yellow, and it has a sticker pasted on the pressure plate that said Eclutch masters.. i want to shared my experience with the forum tom prevent another org from future purchased.. i am very pissed right now but i have no choice...

for the flywheel... i just replace my stock one for another stock one but from a 99 max... i am aware that lightweight flywheels don't make any horsepower but they decrease the torque.. the only gain is a lot faster rev but i have cams and cams decrease torque too.. so i just want to maintain a high expectation on my torque numbers because its the force that move my car... i don't know just my crazy goals.... but i am in need for a good clutch because when i can get it Tune it will be another story and i want a clutch that can handle the force ...jejej just kidding..

So you are saying a light flywheel doesnt make anymore power? How so if that lessens the load that the engine has to turn??? Thats like saying UD pulleys dont make more power. They FREE up more power because its less weight the engine has to turn...."freeing" up more power to the wheels.

light flywheels (or any lightened rotating part attached to your engine) will make the most difference in 1st gear, a little less difference in 2nd gear, a little less in 3rd gear, and by 4th and 5th gear the difference is pretty much unnoticeable.

I'm not sure what the issue is with the OP, but just saying "it's because you have a stock OEM flywheel" doesn't make any sense. not sure what brought him to that conclusion.

OP, perhaps your clutch adjustment is so far off that your clutch is not clamping fully, causing it to slip? i have had this happen before.

lastly, if you do decide to get a new clutch, I would not advise getting a Spec Clutch.

Why do you not advice getting a Spec?

I'm running the spec stage 3 6 puck.

So far so good. not a lot of miles on it yet though, or roughness.

I have personally seen the results of 4 clutch explosions. 3 of those were spec clutches.
