how much air to let out of 18-40s

heading to the the track on thursday for a run on my 18s...

how much air should i let out of my tires... specs of tires in sig

start out with regular tire pressure and go from there.

The whole point in lowering tire pressure is to try and get better traction. So if your spinning the regualr recomended PSI and the tires spin really, really easily then dropping the PSI a couple lbs and run again. If you still think your gettin too much spin drop them another couple lbs. There is no set amount that is recomended to drop your psi to and there is a point at which your traction will get worse because there is not enough air in the tire and the tread no longer fully contacts the ground. I run 24-30 psi in my 15's at the track, but that is just me.

But your always going to get spin with the kind of torque a 5th gen max has. So it's more a skill of easing into the throttle to the point where you put down the most power without losing traction. If you just punch it your going to spin your tires no matter what.

go to halls... its the knoxville dragway... get on broadway take it past halls into maynardville and it will be on ur left way out there... ull see all the imports driving just follow them... on thursdays...
