Advice for better times? Automatic trans

Hey guys, sorry for the long post; but I figured better input = better output. I'm a total noobie at drag racing. This is my first year at the same local 1/8 mile track that CullenJ76 races at. I have an automatic 97 SE with 130,000 miles, I knew the previous owner and maintenance was kept up to date. Performance mods are: Frankencar intake, UDP, DR mod, and y-pipe. I'm running on continental all weather tires @ 30-32psi and stock SE 16" rims, but my last 2 runs were on Cullen's BFG drag radials (no help, but big thanks to my buddy ). My usual way of launching (best results so far) is to brake torque to 1500 rpm and go from there, I don't manually shift due to some of the comments I have previously read in this forum (hopefully something I didn't misread). I have tried varying the rpm's between 1000 and 2000 at launch, above 2000 I'm standing on the brakes and have felt them slip - not a good thing to do on the line. Another trend I have notice is that my car runs better times while the sun is up and the track is fresh - there doesn't seem to be much, if any prep at the track. Anyway I'll post up my times from my last 2 visits (mulligan on my 1st visit). My pb so far is 10.023, and since my time have improved with each visit, I do know that more practice will make me better. My main focus at this point is the 60ft times. I think if I can find a way to get them to even high 2.2's I can make it into the 9's. Any advise (other than do a 5 sp swap) will be greatly appreciated.
I'll post:

Mainly looking for technique, I guess. Anything that could help on the 60ft's, as I think better 60ft's will translate into better 1/8 mile ET's.
