well yesterday i blew the doors off a specV i was with 5 full grown men with a full tank of gas...guess it was the bad ks and my broke belt tensioner...and u dont even have a v400 so how can u flame me on something u have no exprience with?

 

It's pretty common knowledge that the Venom 400 makes no difference in performance. IIRC, all it does is alter the TPS signal. Useless IMO...

 

You added 1000 lbs to your max, and still beat a specV, BS. Even if you had my Maxima, which is a he!! of a lot faster than yours, 1000lbs of your boyfriends would be hard pressed to keep up with a specV, let alone blow the doors off of one. Next thing you know, you'll be pulling 2 cars off the line on an Evo with only 2 guys in your car. Stop the lying now.

LOL.. Somethin was def wrong with that max, i have 3rd gen vg with y pipe cat back intake and jwt ecu and i took 2 vspecs this summer!! with a vg! (both highway runs from top of 3rd)

Yeah specs arent anything special. They can do 15 flat stock if that means anything. I know I have seen stock 4th gens do better stock though so I say maxima.

 

I dont know what you have seen but i spec v can pull 69-71 mph in a slalom stock a spec v will own any stock maxima ever made handling wise

 

Who cares when you pass them with the VQ35 like they're standing still.

Your car is lighter than a Spec V BTW.

 

Thought I would clear a few things up b/c i Used to have a SpecV and held the quickest time for Stock SpecV w/ 14.87 @ 90.82. I put it on the scale at the track and the car weighed 2680lbs with no spare tire in the back and a low tank of gas. Thats probably 200lbs less than a 4th gen Max. I know a stock 5spd 4G Max can, and have, run the same times I ran in my specV-- even quicker by a tenth.. But I'd say the race would come down to the driver.
The advantage of the SpecV is the launch, I could launch it really well with 2.1 60fts all day long on the crappy bald continental tires and some have done 2.0X's. Once they get up past 80mph though, they start to die off. Anything past 100mph is all Maxima. If you want the advantage, race from a roll. The gearing on the SpecVs leaves it with alot of deadspots for rolling races, like 50-55mph he would have to start at the bottom of 3rd gear, for example whereas you could probably start in the meat of 2nd gear.

 

Technically, I believe the new record is a 14.5 in a stock 95 5 speed....a very rough looking 95 BTW....

 

It's a 1000$ beater and the driver still holds the record for an N/A 3.0.

 

i really like the maxima too, but i hate to say it, if you were to race them the way that he says that the se r would be the winner by far
