yeah I heard that hondata thing give the rsx huge gains!!!!! it's rediculous...a guy at work has a rsx type s with all the bolt-ons....i raced him...i have a 5spd 95' se with mevi, ecu, udp, intake, y pipe, cat, bipe and muffler and still was able to pull on him cleanly....but I was impressed with his car...it is quite fast!

WOAH that is impressive. there was also a jackson racing supercharged RSX at the track that ran only a 14.2. maybe the tracks up here in new england suck? i have read that some tracks are "faster" than others

when the co-worker got the hondata...i remember him saying that he got huge gains over all his other bolt-ons....I at first didn't believe him...so of course at that point, we had to race! the mighty max still won though...

When I first got my car 2 years ago I raced one for about 6 second from about 30 mph. It was still pulling when we ended, but was only about a half a cars length ahead. I also punched it later than he did.

Stock for stock, the maxima should win.
A fixed up RSX, on the other hand, as fixed up as any NA maxima hear, will walk on most of our cars, including 6 speeds and S/C 3.0s. Now it sounds like blasphemy when I speak of such evil, but I just checked there forums and man, they have a bunch of NA 13 sec cars. There are also a couple of 12 second cars NA. I was blown away. DAMN that hondata.

yeah but what those rsx guys won't tell you, is they are fully built engines costing several thousand dollars, and they stripped absolutely everything out of their cars...I know an rsx driver with a 12 sec NA car....by 12sec they mean 12.99...LOL, still a 12 sec car nonetheless, however, he had stripped every freakin' thing outta his car!!!!and they used slicks and such

the fastest na guys are running partially (cams and head) or fully (engine internals +cams and head) built motors and as such should be expected to be faster. the fastest bolt on type s's are a bit faster than the fastest bolt on maximas, with a few exceptions i think.

I think thats where the RSX has the advantage, because of the abundancy of the available parts for that K20 motor.

if I were to (for example) put as much money into my engine as the rsx type-s guys have (I know some of them personally), my car would be running low high 12's with slicks as well....they have the engine internals completely done as well as the heads and spend several thousand dollars in the process....plus they strip everything not essential in their cars out....can you imagine if we did that on your maxima's how fast our cars would be? but I, like many other maxima owners refuse to go to such great lengths just for speed....!

I used to own a 2002 Honda Integra Type R (dc5) K20A2 engine, same as the RSX-S.... Injin cai, exhaust etc, it was a pig of a car and wouldnt ever buy another honda EVER again, i mean never.

1 Gear box (6 speed)
4 Computers
1 sub chassis
1 rear control link
1 engine mount
3 cd players
(shall i continue)

this things are puss, i paid $51000 aussie for this type R and it was so unreliable, wasnt driver error either becuase i didnt have a licence to drive it for 9 months.......
