Lookin for 14's...

Ok, I have a 2000 SE 5spd, It runs very well, however, I want more power.
I have seen anywhere from 15.7 to 14.8 as stock 1/4 Times. If
I wanted another 30 WHP or to hit Mid 14's. What exactly do I need to do?
Some say the Intake isn't worth it, Some do.
The Y-pipe seems to be the only universally accepted Bolt on Power Adder.
I want Specific products, Manufacturers and the good stuff, No Ebay Crap.

Another Note, I Added the HKS "Circle Earth" Ground kit, and Unless I am smokin some wicked ****, I am getting better Mileage and I have a better low end Pull.

Fidanza flywheel and Unorothodox Racing Under Drive Pulley.... Some 4th gens with less power hit very low 14s to even high 13s... 5thgens are heavy but interior finish is like comparing a 1991 VW Jetta to a 2004 Jetta.... very big difference in feel and luxury.

Buy a set of Cattman headers and like BlackBIRDVQ said underdriven pulleys and Flywheel, with this you should be near the 30HP. I mean you will gain near 20hp with the headers and you will free's 6 with the UD Pulleys, and probably 8-10 with the flywheel you can also add a 50 or 75 shots of NO2 and that may even bring you in the high 13's.

What is the advantage of the flywheel? UDP for sure will free up some HP and so will headers, Y+B pipe and intake. It'll also burn a big hole in your wallet...

The stock flywheel is near 20LBS the Fidenza is only 11-12, so it will be similar as the UD pulleys as reslut, but I can see the RPM climbing way much faster. As an example if you go to the track and race with a set of 45 lbs 19" wheels, and then you take another run with your light 16's guess who should have better time.

Cheers

if you have a lighter fly wheel you cant have a system in your car subs etc etc because it eats away at your battery correct?

check out the cattman header group buy going on right now, its a chance to grab a steal of a deal ! then weigh up your tire/rim combo and cut as much weight off as you can/afford. these two mods will help you big time ! see sig
