unfortunately no one is caring, I'm just trying out how to launch better because I suck. I can't break 2.4's. I only have once. I try launching at 2500 rpms and I think that is a good rpm for me but I suck at modulating the clutch.

Luanch technique: Spin 2-3 sec to clean tires. Slip @ 2200rpm ~70% throttle and clutch moving smoothly to 100% in about 1.5 sec.

Last 23 60's: 2.217, 2.205, 2.200, 2.174, 2.170, 2.208, 2.212, 2.181, 2.207, 2.199, 2.230, 2.223, 2.165, 2.245, 2.249, 2.162, 2.216, 2.231, 2.271, 2.261, 2.303, 2.253, 2.196, and 2.248.

AVG: 2.218

if you really want to know about launching techniques I suggest you just pm ceasar or nealoc or something...

I feel this question is a little bit on the broad side. I do a dry burnout first for a second or two to remove all the derbis off the tires. But the way i launch, I brake torque at 1400, as soon as I feel the car grip...then I press the gas pedel all the way down. I usually pull a 2.250 to 2.3 60's on street tires. The reason I said this is kinda a broad is because the tires you have on, the tire pressure, rim and tire size, if you are lowered and have adjustable struts/shocks the settings of that, can make a difference in the way you launch. Everyone launches differently, just keep practicing you'll figure out what is the best way to launch with your current settings. Good luck

I dropped the clutch at 2500 and I had a terrible 60 ft last night of 2.7... Ran a 15.9 @ 92 mph

BTW: this was my first time ever to race a 5spd.

As for tire pressure I'm just assuming that those with street tires would be using 25PSI in the front tires. I have read tons on launching. I have been launching at 2500 rpms and getting 2.4 60', one time I got a 2.3. Anyhow
I'm just trying to see if the majority launch at higher rpms like around 3000 or if they launch close to where I launch.

I've found that pwr braking just causing my tires to spin. Although the last time I went racing I had zero traction (78degrees, 95% humidity 1200ft elevation) I ran
10) 15.1@91mph and 1) 15.8@86mph (spinning) my best 60ft was 2.2 I think. And I tried various launching techniques but the humidity really kills my car. (03 SE auto).
btw no one was at the track that night either I got those 11 runs in in less than 2hrs AND I sat around awhile between runs to let my car cool.
