14.4 @ 96.46 2.207-60'

Went to the track again:

Great Lakes Dragaway
Union Grove, WI

Mods: Short Ram Intake w/ K&N, STS, Exedy Stage 1, Greddy Muffler, CM Straight Pipe, Budget Y pipe, Corbeau Forza Racing Seat

Car had a 1/4 tank of gas, 15" steelies w/ blizzak winter tires.

Best Run:

R/T: .153
60' 2.207
330 6.150
1/8 9.375
MPH 76.54
1000 12.145
1/4 14.490
MPH 96.46

All runs between 14.4-14.7, mostly 14.5's and 14.6's, one 14.7 run. Best Trap speed tonight was 97.50, which is the best I have had yet. Let me know what you guys are thinking? What can I do better?

Thanks,

-Nick

obviously a better 60' would shave some more time off your runs, but it doesn't get much much better than that with the mods you currently have on the car. time for a B-pipe jwt ecu, mevi, cams, headers, a VQ35 bottom end and slicks I think. get to work

You are getting really good times for your mods. You basically have an intake and Y-pipe. Are you doing any weight reduction....removing front seat, rear seat or anything?

Your on track to hit 13's NA with just a couple more mods. An MEVI and JWT ECU would do it. Or just a technosquare ECU and slicks or DR's.

Yeah come to think of it, this is almost exactly the same as my best time when I had just intake and Y-pipe. Trap speed is identical and my ET was 14.46 with a 2.18 60' time. I say get some slicks, MEVI/JWT, and a B-pipe and run some deep 13s.

The only weight reduction is my trunk(jack, spare, carpet etc...) Neal, where did you get your slicks from or do you know anywhere I can get them for a reasonable price. I really would like to try and get my car into the 13's with a stock IM and ECU. If that doesnt happen I might be trying the '00 Maxima Intake Manifold. Do you guys really think a b-pipe will be worth while to get. If I do end up getting one I am gonna just take it to a shop and get a 2.5" crush bent resonated b pipe. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

-Nick

I only think the b-pipe would be worth it if you went the VI/ECU route, you would then be flowing enough air up top to see some decent gains...more than 5hp maybe. If you want to do it cheap as possible get a TS ECU and slicks.
