Some buddies of mine and me went to San Antonio Raceway for the Test and Tune as well as the Import shootout night. I ran 11 times and was progressively getting better each run. It was also getting cooler at each run as well!
I read about the best shift points for a 2k3 SE 6spd on Tha Org and was trying to nail it all night. I went against my buddy in a 350Z with some mods and it ended up that the last run of the night was the best run of the night for me (and for me overall).
It was medium low humidity, about 68 degrees, and I am in a bone stock 2003 Max SE 6spd on stock tires. (Bone stock minus my clear corners and Polargs all around!) I removed the spare, jack, trunk mats, all floor mats except the drivers, and any other junk I had in the car. I was at 1/8 tank of gas and put in 1 gallon of 99 octane unleaded at the track. The car weighed in at 3170. Which really is not that bad considering my buddies 350z came in at 3125.
I was trying to attach a scan of the drag slip. but its not letting me. Go here to see it. I am Left:27.

This was my second time to the track. I know I need to work on my 60ft as it is averaging about 2.32 over all 20 runs both times I went to the track. But I do think 14.4 is pretty decent.

very decent.the 2.2x 60' time on that run you show is pretty good actually. It seems the 6 speeds are hard to hook up for a good launch. If you do get into the 2,1's you can probly look for 14.2's, as it seems you were nailing the shifts. Nice run man!
you weighed in at 3170lbs? and this is with no spare no jack no mats and 1/8th fuel? what kind of options do u have? (meridian, bose, leather?)....just curious becuz mine is a fully loaded 6spd and I heard they weigh alot more than base 6spds....just wondering what kinda options u have....so i can get a general idea how much my car weighs if i ever do get it weighed...
I weigh 210. My max has all options other than Nav.
I set my front tire pressure to 29.5 PSI and I did not check the rears, but a couple days before the track I put them at 35 PSI. My launch rpm was right around 3000 RPM. I find it a bit hard to keep it exactly at one mark as there is too much too concentrate on in a 6 spd on the line...
I am still a bit confused by how the numbers work out on the drag slip.... but all I know is that my current goal is to smoke by buddies 350Z... so when the bonus check comes in Nov... i hope to add a Cattman CAI and Y-pipe as well as get the SWA UDP which is sitting at my house installed...
i think it will give the little extra i need to smoke him...

I would forget the UPD, CAI, and Y-pipe. Cattman headers and a better 60' will put you in the 13's!
I read somewhere that aftermarket headers will void your warranty... i bought the extended 5y/100k and i am @ 35k after 2 yrs 2 mos.
The cost of the 3 parts is nearly the same as the cattman headers so I would be interested in this if it did not void my warranty.

Sohailb- are you HLSD btw?
wow thats interesting to know that your fully loaded max weighs at a light 3170lbs with all that junk out and 1/8th gas...I guess mine will weigh similiar to yers since I have the same options....

There were a ton of Z's with no passenger seat and literally everything removed from the trunk area... carpet, siding, everything that could be removed was removed. I dont think I will ever take my seat out, but it was funny to see.

Ya, if you do all those power mods and remove the interior (seats, etc) you will be quicker off the line and trap higher. Make sure you go with 1/8 tank of gas too. My "E" light usually goes on after 1 pass... still have like 3 gallons at that point, but no extra weight due to gas.

Yes, that Friday was a very nice nite to run. Those numbers are great. You heading back out anytime soon? I might be heading out there tonite. I already had one person bail on me.
