245 or 255 R16's way to big?

Yes 245/50/R16 or 255/50/R16 are probably way to big for our application, reason being is because im looking into getting my buddies lightweight rims which are 16X7 or 7 1/2. And the only availble sizes according to my research, Nitto has 245/50/R16 tire size, and BF Goodrich has the 255/50/R16 tire size. Anyone actually used any of these sizes on their Maxima? Are these rims im looking at are actually worth the $140 for the pair when I know when I need to replace them they will give me more of a headache. The tires on these rims already have Nitto DR's which are discontinued and has a tire size of 205/50/R16 which looks like it would be more resonable if they still had them on the market.

The two 245 coud probably go on the rim if it was 7.5", not the 255 though.
