New 1/4 mile record for this NA VE Auto! 14.30
14.308 @ 94.25 with a stock ECU!
Since my 14.57, I've removed another 150lbs, put on rear skinnies, setup a variable intake system, fabbed up spacers to the upper intake and throttle body, bored the TB to 63.5mm, ported the exhaust manifolds, and raised the rear and zip tied the front of the car.
My best 60' use to be 2.17. Now it's 2.08.
60' 2.089
330' 5.910
1/8 9.121 @ 75.60
1000' 11.929
1/4 14.308 @ 94.25
It was 74 degrees, 45% hum, 29.79" on the barometer and a 7 mph left to right cross wind. The air density altitude was 1342 feet above sea level. Last time, I did 14.57 in California, it was 1200 feet above sea level. But in my experience, the track at Moroso is about 2 tenths slower for no reason.
I heated up my drag radials sufficiently and I still spun them badly when I did the 2.08. On my first run, I stalled it up to 2800 rpm, but I spun worse and did a 2.35 60'. I did my 2.08 by launching right off of idle.
I weighed my car while still in 100% track mode and got 2890lbs. Not too shabby considering my 'weighed in' stock weight is exactly 3300lbs! I calculated my track weight to be 2930lbs, but I was a little off.
All in all, it was a good night. 14.3 is the best I could have hoped for on this normal FL night at a horrible track. Isn't the record for the fastest NA VE around a 14.3, set by Bryan H? Has anybody posted anything better than a 14.3 with any NA VE Maxima?

BTW, Bryan H helped me with a few of my mods. Thanks Bryan.I know there are faster NA VE 5spds out there, but they haven't showed any timeslips yet. hehe

I don't have the ZEM working in my car yet. In fact, I ran this time with a Cali spec ECU that someone sold me (they didn't know it was Cali spec). So I am riding around with a CEL on. It's just exhaust temp sensor CEL, no biggie.Dave B, yeah, the correct term, I guess, is "quickest". hehe
Neal, I am going to have to get slicks. With a higher stall, 4.10 gears (built tranny) with 22" MT slicks, I can do 1.9x 60' NA. I have never spun my DRs after a perfect burnout. The track prep SUCKED that night, but still, I have never spun them like that before. It was slicker than the street! Every car there was spinning them down the track. I am talking about the regular guys that race with slicks. They were still breaking lose the tires at half track. Not safe. I have to do some more calculating to figure out what size slicks I need to buy to give me the trap speed I will be getting with my turbo setup.
That is awesome aaron. VE is a good motor . I will try to get to that spot of 14secs. Right now i am working on fixing my mounts and joints and bushings and my axles. But i think i made a mistake and bought the 2002 nissan maxima 17s those shoes are heavy. But i like your times, very impressive. VEpwr!!!!!

AT pwr! Thanks everybody for the support. I have plans to go a little faster all motor. But I won't spend too much more time on NA stuff. I am just going to tune my ECU with the ZEMulator (once it gets working) and build my tranny with a very aggressive final drive. Oh yeah, I need slicks since I was spinning my drag radials terribly off the line with the 2.08. My 60 foot times varied from 2.35 to 2.08 all night. I can't stalled it up or the drag radials burn down.
congrats, you are gonna catch my best time as an auto. I should have done all that weight reduction one last time before I converted to 5spd just to see what it would do.

edit: Sorry, I see your mods list on your website. Is it up to date?

oh contrare, I cut 2.04 60' this afternoon on my new tires. And my clutch is starting to go. stupid key value OEM clutch disk. Fresh Exedy stage 2 + my 26x9.50 Hoosiers = 1.9 60' times.

I know you have the PF TB, but you said it didn't make you noticably faster. I did so many mods since my last track visit, so I have no idea if boring my TB made me faster. I bored it and put in a 63.5mm plate. I just don't know if it helped much. But, my biggest mods since my last track visit are intake spacers, rear skinnies, and my huge weight reduction. Other than that, I didn't do anything that helped greatly. I just did a variable intake system and bored my TB. I don't think those mods help nearly as much as the spacers and weight reduction did.

If it wasn't for this summer coming up, 13s would be around the corner if the temps go down. But winter is over. During my "off season", I will do ECU tuning hopefully and a built tranny and slicks. That will get me in the 13s in the same weather that I raced in last Wednesday night. I can't believe that I need traction! I've never had problems with traction with my drag radials. Now, I am lighter than ever and making more torque.
