Well last night i finally broke into the 11s actually 5 times...each was gettin better, I was still only running 11psi on my second last run i did a 11.79@118.6 (hittin rev limit in 4th just before end) so i upped the boost 2 psi to 13 and shifted into 5th but no luck cause i was low on fuel and it just hesitated and slowed me down, thats why the trap is lower but time is faster....Still more weight reduction to come and a side exhaust...

It wont have more top end with taller gears (3.81 instead of 4.13). You have 4.13, right? (04+ 6-speed final drive ratio). The gears literally multiply your torque so shorter gears = more torque.

What I would do if I were you is use taller slicks (27 inches).

If you're topping out at 118 MPH in 4th gear with 26-inch slicks you'll top out at 122.5 or so with 27-inch slicks. If you're aiming for higher than 122 then swapping out the final drive for the 3.81 might be a better idea.

More sidewall = more traction. You'd have more potential for better 60 foots with 27's. Especially with more boost.

It seems like it's gonna be a competition to hit 10's first between you, Mardi and Frosty. It's gonna be interesting to watch, keep it up

I dont have vid of that run but my friend had vid of my 11.79@118.6....I may get with matt maybe we can have a show down in MIR im sure we can get a maxima crowd for that (gotta get my nissan tow vehicle done first 95 hardbody with VG33/headers/5spd). I still have a open diff too which is hurting my launch bad.

 

seems like the car was hooking pretty well though to go 70's at only 116mph.

 

I keep having problems with 4th rev cut before line and this time i shifted into 5th and i was low on fuel so its fell on its face and my trap was low. The run before i trapped 118.6 and my 1/8th mile was almost 2 mph slower then my 11.74 1/8th mile was, That run should have been a 120....and i was only launching at 2k.
