race again this time with you in the 3.5 and him in the 3.0 then see what the outcome is.

 

One of my friends had a 03 MAxx w/ an intake and catback exhaust--
My 98: headers, intake, exhaust, stage 1 ACT, and 18's---and we ran a few times at the track... at first I kept taking him out by a car..but its just cuz he had barely bought it and didnt know how to drive it.... (So I was thinking they werent that fast).. but then, about a month later, he got the hang of it and ended up taking me out by about 1 1/2 cars.

3.5's are fast!!

I've raced a 350z and lost about the same distance

A friend of mine (MaxGator) has the 2000 Max with I/H/Y/P and is an excellent driver. We did a few highway runs back when I only had 1200 miles on my SE-R (stock), and I was able to slowly reel him in after he got the jump. The top of his third gear is wicked!
Since I've put afew more miles on my car, it's running better (14.3).
I'm in the Tampa area, so I'd be glad to meet up with the 3.0.

 

i think you should race for money... then see if he puts his foot down on the right pedal...

theres no way a 3.0 will beat a 3.5 unless the 3.0 is spraying at least a 50 shot...

The only real performance mod imo is the exhuast intake and stage 1 really don't that much.

 

i just realized why ur boy lost, so his short shifter made his car so much faster , that the 22's on his car where spinning the whole way, and u caught traction and only at the end when he was about to blow ur doors off...there was no more running space.....lol anyway..could be a driver i guesss.

 

and 2nd gear.. my goodness, these things fly above 40mph
