130mph but at just 11.9

I ran a new MPH record of 130 @ 11.9. Just on 1.5 bar of boost, no nitrous and on MT ET Street Radials. I still had the passanger seat and AC in. Exhaust was off from the flex pipe back. The 275x45-17 radials just dont hook like the 26x10-15 slicks. I had them down to 11psi and they would not hook with a hard launch like the slicks. I had to dance in second too. But third and fourth were rollin!!! I walked/flew past so many cars at the 1/8th including an Extreme Motorsorts EVO whos friends were talking me down. hahaha.

Heres the details of the slip.
.862 rt yea yea sleeping all night
1.958 60'
5.436 330'
8.024 1/8th @ 94.45mph
10.155 1000'
11.900 1/4 @ 130.37mph

Whats crazy is that on the slicks my previous best of 11.4 @ 126 was with a 7.552 1/8 @ 100mph with 1bar and a 75 shot. So if the slicks can hold the new found boost only power its gonna be scarey. Plus a little more weight reduction and juice. Who knows what it will run or when it will break .

130 woot. DRs are fun and all on the street, but they don't cut the mustard in a front driver on the track as you just found out. Awesome trap and you know that'll go up and the ET'll go down when you get that thing to come off the line better.

What did you change since the last time you hit the track, as far as power goes. Obviously you're making way more of it now, and on less boost and no spray.

LOL on that evo... I built the transmission in that car if it's the Extreme Motorsports shop car.

Congrats Mardi. 130mph traps are crazy. I was on my way to the track to record you but something came up and I couldnt make it. Hopefully I can make it next time. That evo is always there. He runs in the 12's.

The evo wasnt crazy built or anything from the outside. Just blue with a big extreme racing banner on the winshield and allot of other small white decals on the running boards. I dont think it was their shop car just a customers car or somthing. Im sure their real shop race car will spank me.

What have I done... Well I have never been able to run a 1.5bar/22psi with out back firing from fuel loading, its running grea now. JWT retuned for me and I am running 12.0-12.5 AFR with a bit more timing 16-18 advance. That may sound lean but I am spraying alch/water on top of 100oct gas. Previously I could only run 14psi with good results and was trapping 119ish. The exhaust from the flex pipe back is completly off the car, Im sure that a big part of the power gain, it was heavy too. In the motor department thats it. It was ~40% humidity and 70f. Changed to D2 coil overs, The carpet is out, 14lb plastic racing seat for the driver, back door panels are off, headliner is out. Even with the addition of the roll bar I do think I have a net weight loss. Next Sunday is the Battle of the Imports at MIR and I plan to run on slicks. I will take the passanger seat out if class rules allow. AC will be out. I can jack the back coil overs up 4" to stiffen the rear and put the weight over the front wheels. And hopefully with a full nitrous bottle and a 125 shot she can hook out the hole good. I really dont think I will be able to hit the juice out the hole, so it may be a second gear or third gear hit. I may try 75 out the hole too. I'd love to have one of those FJO mini progressive controllers... I have my 15x10 Prostars now but I need to get longer wheel studs to make them work right and pass tech, so thats a month or so off, maybe just in time for NOPI. With the wider rim, rim screws and much lower pressure I may be able to get the nitrous to the ground.

First run with 0.9 bar I hit 119. Second run with 1.2 bar I hit 124. Went to full boost (MAF is maxed out) and she rolled 127 128 129 before I hit the 130.

Sounds like you are getting it dialed in now. Going 130 without spray is sick! Looks like 10's are there @135+ when you spray it....Kind of makes me want to change my mind on my car plans

Good luck and I can see the car going pretty deep in the 10's with traction and spray.

mardi, do you have or did you consider an rpm 2 step limiter such as that found in the emanage ultimate? dandymax is experimenting with that at the track I believe...might be handy for some 60 ft reduction if you can ever manage the traction...
