Disappointed!

Went to the track last night and the max was quite disappointing. My mods are as follow: Warpspeed y & b pipes, stillen intake, motostorm udp, magnaflow muffler. I ran with my 19's on cause i didnt have time to put my stockers back on and i had the system in the trunk. the best time i had was 15.81@86.20 with 60ft with one of my friends in the car. I ran it like 8 times and that was the best one out of all of them, On the other hand my friend with the same mods and 18's on was running low 15's high 14's. Is that normal for the max to run that slow or is there something wrong with it. Dont flame on me for going with the 19's on but i had no time to put the stockers back on.

Take the wheels off, take out the system, kick your friend out of the car, and run again.

why is that disappointing?

You probably had 4k lbs and huge wheels that are difficult to get rolling.

I feel like you answered your own question. With that much extra weight in the car it is no wonder. Heck look at every extra 100lbs as -.1 on your time slip. Then add the additional weight and rotating mass of 19" wheels and take some more away.

Your poor Maxima never had a fighting chance!!! All things considered that was a good run. But look at mine in my sig w/ intake....

Also the more runs you do the hotter the car gets and the slower the times tend to be. I have only drag raced my Maxima five trips down the 1/4 mile in one outing but, I know that theory to hold true with most other cars. I always spray cold ice water on the radiator prior to running on consecutive runs. Does it do anything???, I don't know... But my '04 EVO VIII comes standard w/ Intercooler sprayer so that is where the idea came from and I am sure that it has some small benny.
