VE on N2O for first time.

I was at the track last night with my recently purchased VE.

My mods are: HAI, Ypipe, and N2O on street tires at about 18psi

My best run on n2o:
r/t: .218
60: 2.223
330: 6.137
1/8: 9.339
MPH: 77.66
1000: 12.049
1/4: 14.367
MPH: 97.53

My best run off n20:
r/t: .177
60: 2.269
330: 6.431
1/8: 9.874
MPH: 71.30
1000: 12.829
1/4: 15.310
MPH: 91.17

I think I did well with the nitrous and love the way it works. Although after the 4th run or so though the bottle pressure started getting low and i was running 14.5's because i dont have a bottle heater... <---- next thing im buying

Any input it welcome.

Get a decent launch and you'll be in the 13s.

The n2o is in my VE now instead of my VG and has been freshly installed with a 50 shot. Also i didnt do a stealth install with this car since this is a track car so its easier to see things if they dont look right.

The main difference im guessing is i had a full bottle yesterday and it was warm/hot out so the bottle was heated by the sun, when i ran it on the VG it was colder out and the bottle wasnt completely full so i think the bottle pressure was low and i was running way rich which bogged the engine down...

I LOVE VE!!!

Cheater

Nice time on the spray, at least compared to other 3rd gen times n/a

You better start saving up for input shaft bearings.

A 2.2 60' is much better than your last visit. It's not bad at all. Atleast we know you can drive a little bit. On street tires and good conditions, you can possibly get 2.1s. 2.0s are possible on street tires, but not likely. With slicks, you'll easily get 1.8 or 1.9s with a little spray in 1st gear.

But you're on the right track. You are still close to stock. You have a LOT of stuff left to do to that thing.

Not bad. Lets see what just the weight reduction does. Id say cut any un used bracket, pull every thing out. EVERY thing! Have some fun. Its not the DD right.

Those pretty good times... Like N2O maxima owners say, a 50 shot on a stock maxima will take a full second off of your 1/4 mile time. A VE with N2O is definitely alot of fun. I'm running a 75 shot on my VE-5 and I'll be running a dual stage 150 shot very soon.

That is correct, i just need some d/r's or something for my spare stock rims so that i can put the wheels back on my VG...

I'm not going to go super crazy at first. Ill do seats, trunk trim, unneeded brackets, unused seatbelts, dash trim, and some other small things... the more heavy duty things that take more work like a/c and bumper supports will come later.
