Fastest stock 5.5 gen
Fastest stock 5.5 gen
Just curious as to what the fastest time anyone has seen run in a bone stock 5.5 gen. I know in the FAQ it says 14.1-14.3 but I wanted a better idea. I am putting some ET Streets on the car to take it to the track next week and I wanted to see what I could do, since I dyno'd pretty high for a stock car..

search.....i bet you could find a lot of people that have posted times...they dont let noobs like you who hijack threads to post new ones because of dumb questions....btw what is this chip you so state? do you even have a maxima?
a chip my ****, unless they were talking about the ecu being one big computer chip... anyways, just run your car and see what time you get, dont think your ricky bobby and will get the best times ever in a auto 5.5... just go out to your local track and try your best...
now that we got that over with....was the dude fat you bought it from? maybe he dropped a potato chip in there when he was doing something...then he told you it had a chip to make your eyes get bigger......
anyone on this forum wouldve welcomed you the same way when you post something stupid...and i like your stereotype of military guys thanks
yeah, they gotcha...

It just shouldn't be done.
I don't have a Maxima, but a stock 02 I35 auto that ran 14.615 easily, spinning badly all the way through first, and not going wot as a result until almost into second gear.
It does have high miles though, and was in the 138K range, would have to go back and look, when I ran it a few times. No doubt it would go low 14's in the 98+ mph range with a little work on the launch and decent track prep, and the same excellent weather condfitions.
A 5.5 Gen with similar miles should run about the same, given the same conditions.

I ran 14.8 bone stock @ 94mph with a 2.3 60 foot. My best with just Injen CAI is 14.7 @ 95.03 with a 2.3 6o foot. I just can't seem to get below 14.7 to save my life. More mods coming later this year.
i'm probably running at Import Faceoff this weekend with my 02 maxima auto, with hks exhaust, frankencar intake, and a custom block off plate.. i'll post what i run afterwards.. i'm hoping 14.8 or lower.. it'll be my first time at a track
No offense bud, but Gateway is known to be a heart breaker. I ran my 6-speed up there bone stock and pulled a 14.9 with a 2.4 60'. Now you might not have as much problems with the launch since you have ET streets. Then I went up there and ran a 14.1 with a 2.2 60' with full boltons, headers, etc....so don't go up there expecting low 14's because I just don't see that happening.

that's an understatement, you dyno'd very high for a stock car...214/233? I'm tempted to say the dyno just read high and it would have no impact on your 1/4 run. You have a stock 5.5 6mt so I would put you someplace in the mid 14s unless youre a phenomenal driver and nail the launch. Then low 14s could be a possibility.
I am not going to be cocky, I just wanted to know and will post up how I do. I can drive..sub 2.0 60's on street tires in my Probe would indicate that, but I am no professional that is for sure, lol. I more so am curious as to what I will trap than anything. Oh well..we shall see.

I was told that the I35's had a more aggresive Ecu program, Do you have a time slip? I've got a 2003 TE "auto" with CM headers+catback, UR UDP, Injen Intake, grounding kit and plenty of brake and suspension upgrades and I've bust me nuts trying to get lower than the 14.6 @ 93.35 mph 1/4 mi run with, 60ft @ 2.171, and losing upper end power more than likely the ECU or Injen Intake holding me back (no tune).... Or I can't drive! A few nights ago, I checked my AFR (Innovate Wideband) with the complete Injen Intake installed and WOT starts at 13.1 and slowly richens to 12.6, Injen; With the (upper half) short ram @ WOT started at 12.2- leaned out to 12.5 or 12.6. So I'm sure the Short ram style Intake will make more power with headers than the longer tract Injen intake. It's all about how it works as a system. I'll do a few more test to ensure a short ram is gaining more speed over a measured piece of road. With the conclusion If I'm right, I'll invest into a Berk intake with the APexi filter since I already have an AEM dryflow airfilter! Also got some NWP spacers coming and thought it should help the Berk on the lower end, but again Berk lost power on most stock exhaust Maximas cause the car couldn't get the exhaust out fast enough so the flow was IMO dissrupted! Again it's really about matching your hardware then tuning! I'm almost there....
No offense, but something truely doesn't seem right. To have CAI-Headers- Catback and only trap 93.35 mph, that just doesn't seem right. And you had a decent 60 foot time. I would really look into a tune, that can make all the difference in the world. I just can't see how people are pulling low 14's stock. But then everytime I run at OSW in Orlando, the weather is 85 + degrees. LOL!! Good luck and keep us posted.

1sexyleo basically has everything you have and runs 13.6 @ 100 with 2.0 60ft on stockies. Also you know the humidity, air and temp plays a big role in 1/4 mile times.
no...86 is pretty hot. Usually when its that hot it knocks 4 tenths off your real time. And your 60ft is high for an auto...if you can manage to get it down about 2.0 you can knock off a few more tenths. I say you should be able to run a 14.7 @ 94

to that comment. we all woulda said the same thing but he beat us too it
