shift points for 5mt vq30
i read the post at the top in the sticky and all it said was to redline 1st and short shift the rest but how short? if i remember correct power on a stock vq drops off at about 4500 rpm? so im guessing shift points should be about 4500-4600 right?
wow fail title screw up i meant vq30 lol

wow you are right I didn't notice that it didn't give actual RPM, I just edited the sticky.
anyways, no, power drops off after about 5500rpm. optimal shift points with USIM are about 6300ish from 2nd to 3rd and 6100ish from 3rd to 4th. i fixed your title too.

thanks u said their was supposed to be pics in the write up that were broken so i suspect that they had the shift points explained in them.
edit: this might not be the right place to post this but what is redline on a 100% stock motor? i think i hit the revlimiter at about 7k or so but if that is the limiter it must e a "soft touch" it seemed like the motor just ran out of ***** to go any higher. i just like bouncing limiters so u know when u hit it.

Rev limit on a stock motor is 6550rpm, where the redline starts. The tach reads a little higher (usually around 6700rpm for me).
Shift points are all with the VQ30DE. 00VI it and smack it off the limiter before every shift.
