N/A 5.5 gen new street tire PB 13.2@107.5
Although I'm glad I got a new street tire PB, today was a pretty crappy day at the track.
The track officials were forcing cars on street tires out of the "groove" and decided that my slicks looked alot like street tires, so was having trouble getting out of the hole.
Then around 4pm, I snapped the aluminum bracket in the engine bay that holds the shifter linkage in place. Seems like no easy feat considering it is 1/4 inch thick aluminum. I ziptied it up to drive home lol.
In any case, my first run of the day on street tires was my best trap and new street tire PB. I then let the car cool down and swapped to slicks. I'm getting low traps on slicks, so I am going to considering selling them and swapping to some 245 or 255 width drag radials. I had a couple of runs with bad launches and mis-shifts that gave me a worst run of 13.6. Below are the good runs:
My car - number 77. slow "stock" turbo cobalt 76

On the next run after 3 above the bracket broke when I shifted into second. The temp on those runs was around 57 degrees. It got down to 41 degrees and street tires (which apparently includes fwd with slicks) were being allowed on the track "unrestricted" before they closed test and tune... other maxima guys there were gaining 1-2 mph traps from the beginning of the day so I guess it was just bad luck for me.
Only changes since last time at the track is 245/40/18 general exclaims as my street tires and a way better DA today. Last time it was over 2,000.
I'll upload pics of the slips later.

James ran, also a few of the other greensboro maxima guys. There was a I/E 5.5 gen 6 speed there that ran a 14.4@99

A very long time ago when it only had an intake I dyno'd it, but there has been no recent dyno time.
Eventually I want to go to a good Z shop and have them tune it for open loop mode. After that I'll have a good template for raising rev limiter and more exact control over fuel during my own tuning, plus I'll have some numbers.
As of now I have a good bit of street tuning done with open loop disabled using maf pulldown.

with those 1/4 mile times i would be surprised if you arent at 265+...

Still waiting on James with the vids.
265ish seems about right for my mods. At least in good weather like saturday was. I think it has more in it. I was running lean and should have adjusted my temperature adjustment tables, but forgot the laptop

Oh and my car with me in it weighed in at 3330. That is with full interior, no spare, and some assorted tools in the back that I couldn't leave out unlocked.

here's a track hint for you... when you go around the water box do a quick burn out to the staging lights to get all the small residue of water off, cause while u went around the water box, doesnt means your tires never ran into any water
