1/4th Mile ideas
Last year I went to the track and had less then ideal times with just the nwp bop, intake, and spacers.
Now for us autos, I am wondering if the bop is hurting the 60 foot time since with a stock tranny there is no way to really launch the car without damaging something.
I would launch at around 1k and it would just seem to bog until it could reach ~3500rpm and then finally pick up resulting in my best 60 foot of 2.3 secs. It was nice catching a 2003 mustang gt once I got into the power band though . Granted the bop picks up power in the higher rpms but I'm wondering if the low end loss at the start is doing more harm then good.
I am going to try and test this idea during the spring and hopefully figure out which route is better for the autos. I know manuals don't have to worry about the low end loss since most launch above 2000rpms.
Anyone that has an auto and has the bop please comment if your car also seems to bog when you launch or doesn't bog(stock tranny)

i never bogged in my car (even when the tranny was stock) ... 04 - 5 speed auto
and def no damage done to my lower end ... my first 2 gears are the strongest all motor
i popped 2.1 60fts on street tires/stock tranny a long time ago

Stage car, Apply Brake, Apply Throttle (if car moves then apply more brake), when the lights go green release brake.
Viola, you've launched an automatic and if your car is in decent shape you've just achieved a 2.2-2.0 60ft.
omg! You're in Kansas, goto heartland park, chances are you'll meet grey99max, chances are you'll meet him there... and he's auto.
