Wtf?

I was at Sac raceway and this guy with a green 95 civic DX comes up to me and starts talkin **** bout my max! I dont even know this guy and he just started runnin his mouth. He says that right now his car is stock excpet for exhaustand he could still beat me. So I challenged him but he declines saying that it wouldnt even be a race. I thought he was one of those typicall honda guys with the engine swaps so I asked to see what he had under the hood, and sure enough it was a stock civic DX. I dont know why he's so sure bout himself but I've never raced one of those things but I know they have like 100hp(haha) But do you think he could actually take me or is he just bein an idiot?

Re: Wtf?

Well, it would be nice if you would have said what car you have. I looked in your profile and you have 91 SE. If you have a VG Auto, then you are running somewhere around 17 flat. If you have a VG 5spd, then you are running around mid 16's. That is, IF your stock.

And I am assuming that he is a 5spd. According to www.car-stats.com, a stock DX 5spd is running around 16.90 - 17 flat. Now, if he has a catback exhuast, which I'm sure he does, he is running high 16's. Maybe 16.60 at best. I hope this will give you an idea of what to expect. Most are slow, but the swaps will surprise you.

Are you a 5spd or Auto? What exact mods are you sure he has? And what mods do you think he might have?

Then I would have to say that you would get him only by a few tenths of a second. Only IF you're car is running up to par. Have you ever run your car at the drag strip? I would guess that you are running 16.50's with those mods, conservatively. If this is the case, you will beat him by more than one car length. But, if it's your first time at the drag strip and you are racing him, then I would say he would have the advantage if he knows how to cut a good light.

Have you ever run your car at the drag strip? If so, what are your times?
