any suggestions for a cheap loud mod???
Hey guys, whats the cheapest way to make my car louder. I'm talking dirt cheap, no money if possible, haha. Anything I can do to my air filter, muffler etc. I know about intakes and exahust and all, but i don't have the cash, any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Well, I don't know why you'd want to make your car louder. You can make your car as loud as you want, it ain't going to make it any faster, it'll just give you a migrane headache on long drives.
Anyway, if you want it as loud as possible with no cost to you, remove the catalytic converter and bust a hole into the muffler. People will hear you coming from a mile away.

Just unbolt your muffler and it will be loud. Then you could get some sealant and put it around the air filter + its housing. After that you can remove the cover on the airbox. Your car will be plenty loud then.

Don't take your air filter out and replace it with pantyhose. Pantyhose is no substitute for an air filter. Most dust particles are in the 1-10 micron range and would easily slip through and end up destroying your engine in no time.
Just remove the airbox, attach a MAF adapter to the MAF sensor, and put a cone filter on the adapter. It will sound a bit louder, give you 1-2 extra horsepower, and keep you from turning your engine into toast.
