As soon as I fix one thing....guess what?

As soon as I fix one thing....guess what?
Well, I'm getting pretty rough idle. From the car it sounds like I
have a cylinder that's dead, and it seems pretty rich. I went to
pull codes and it gave me code 11. Went to double check it, and it
gave me code 44. BAH! Question is then, is the ECU suppose to give
me a code off the bat after I switch to diagnostic mode (note that I
have an 86, so the procedure is different than the 87-88. I assumed
after I pressed the accelerator, started the car, and turned on an
accessory that it would give me a code.
To better explain, when I turn to diagnostic, I got code 11, then
next I the code for throttle position senser, and then the code for
FICD accessory. I press the accelerator, started motor, turned on
A/C and it cleared all but the code 11. So I wanted to check myself,
I switch out of diagnostic mode, turn off the car, turned on the
ignition and started the procedure again. Got the TPS and FICD
codes, after that I got code 44 all good.
Other than the crappy idle, the car seems to run really good through
all gears while driving. If I get the motor hot enough, I will then
get hesitation, but usually I don't get it. I also check plugs
mainly because the wire for cylinder 1 was really loose. I checked
cylinder 1, showed as normal...but it was also looking kinda thin on
the electrode, checked cylinder 5, compared to the manual and it was
listed as too hot. Possible cause is too lean, bad coolant, sticking
valves, or too hot of plug. Anyway, I may need a crank angle sensor,
though I'm still wonder because the code came up once, but didn't
again...and I may of inadvertantly cleared the codes without
realizing it.
Anyways, if anyone has lines a crank angle sensor, I would
appreciated it. I will get back to you as I do more. I will have to
wait until the 15th before I can change plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
I want to see what happens after that.

Has the car ever ran really rough with almost no power, maybe
even stall only to restart and run fine (but with a hard start)?
I have a crank angle sensor for an 87, are they the same as an 86?
Let me know if you need it...

Sarin,
I thought you had the 87-88 EGR valve. You're still having problems with clearing the FSTB? Which way does the bar have to move? Is it only when the engine is torquing? Would the urethane engine mounts be a fix?

Ok you know what my egr vavle and all is quite a nice distance away ro mthe strut bar. My strut bar I can move with my hand like it stays stable in its place of spot. But I can like "bend" it up with tension or down but it goes back to its place. So under serious load I know my fstb isnt doing a good of job before. I need to get those bolts to get it back the way it was. DAMN shop

I hate it when someone works on my car an doesn't put everything back...or rehook everything back up. When I had my tranny put in, they didn't hook up the reverse lights. That drives me up the wall.
