Wheel Size?

What is the biggest size wheels I can put on my 85 Maxima, it has the suspension with the switch that you can change from (S)oft (N)eutral or (F)irm? email me at marcman804@yahoo.com and tell me what you know about it. I wanna try eighteen's on it but I just want to know what I can put on it. thanks alot.

18x7, or 18x8 would be the absolute biggest you can go....and even with those you will have rubbing issues. If you go that big, you probably won't be able to lower the car if you go that size. I personally wouldn't go no larger than 17's on this car, but that is totally up to you.

Yeah you can. With 18's, they tend to be wider....though you have you can get a 18x7, most are 18x7.5 or 18x8. With such a tall and wide rim, your going to have a lot of problems when turning with the tires rubbing. 17x7 will work out great for these cars, plus they are 2 sizes bigger than stock and fill the wheel well pretty well.

Lowered Safety wise 17s would be enough. 18s Ive seen on a max in Atl when I was there it filled the well up pretty well and it wasnt lowered.

If you get the 5th gen or newer, you can go with 19's and still lower the car! :P My friend patrick (triple8sol) has 19's and maxspeeds which lowers the car about 1.5" or so. Though he's getting tien springs which lower it 2.2-2.5".
