A/c recharge
A/c recharge
I was wondering has anyone recharged there a/c. I need to do it on an 86 max with manual climate control. I was wondering what do I need and where can I get the cheapest materials to do it with.
odds are your probally not going to be able to do it your self...you'll probally have to go to some sort of A/C place and if you need to have it recharged you probally have a leak some place any way..
the most expencive thing if you go any place will be the labor given they dont have to replace any thing....because 134a is cheep stuff...it makes your A/C components work harder but its cheep....and if your A/C stuff works fine now it should continue working with the new stuff...went to double check and make sure my compressor was shot and they said compressors in thesemid to late 80's maximas rarely go out...but you still have to worry about the dryer...dryer is cheep compared to a compressor (compressor $250+....dryer $40-$80)
basicly i'm saying take it someplace...if you need to recharge it somethings wrong and your sure as h*ll not gonna want to fix it
