I have a friend who has either and 87 or 88 Maxima and it seems as though one of her window regulators is out. I have a 91 Max, and I have replaced all four of the regulators in mine. I was wondering if mine would be similar to doing a regulator on a 2nd Gen, and where I could get the part for the 2nd Gen - I looked on eBay (which is where I bought mine), but they didn't seem to have any new ones. Do they still sell new ones for that car?

Well, the actual regulator itself is the same in terms of functionality and arrangement. They are dimensionally different. As for as finding new ones, you will just have to do some shopping around. Every now and then Ebay will have them for 2nd gens. I believe you can find new ones...but you have to do some searching.
