Electronic suspension conversion -- confused!

I've searched the archives and looked at the sticky message at the top of the forum, but still a little confused...

Looking to replace the electronic shocks/struts on my 87 SE with the KYBs. TireRack has good prices, and they're in stock. They have both the electronic and non-electronic versions available for the rears, but not for the front. I'm OK with that -- don't care about the adjustability.

So -- I should go for the electronic rears, right? Figuring they will then be a direct replacement. Is it OK to not rehook the wires?

For the fronts, do I need new upper mounts in order to convert? Or can I reuse my old ones? They're $80 or $90 for the pair -- assuming I need them, is it worth trying to salvage them from the junk yard to save a few bucks, or are they a major wear item also and I should just get new ones?

Any other advice on all the parts I need for conversion? I saw a post with a list of parts (for Tokico) -- is that complete? Which ones are actual conversion parts vs. items I'd need anyway? I'd like to be able to hand my mechanic a box full of stuff that he'll need that might be outside of an ordinary job (i.e. if he was replacing with electronic struts).

Thanks a lot!
Cecil
