I just wondered about the Maxima SE, were they only available with a 5spd, no automatic? Since I found out the guy was selling his Maxima, he had a typo that says it's a auto but it turned out that it's a 5spd. I didn't know the SE only had 5spd. It is true?

Not true at all. I have a 1988 Max SE auto. SE's had either 5 speed manual or optional auto tranny.

Actually it's partially true. 85 and 86 SE's only had 5-speeds, it was until 87-88 that they got the option of either a 5-speed or auto.
