Question About Procarparts Guages and Fuel Capacity

Two questions, totally seperate. Does the Procarparts reverse guage kit include the blue lighting, or only the guage overlay, and secondly, my owners manual and Chiltons both say my 87 Max has a 17 1/8th gallon tank, however from dead empty it barely holds 12. Any ideas?

Yes the gauges have blue indiglo's in them, so they can light up blue or green (which is really a blue-green). As for the tank, you should have a 17 gallon tank. I have have the 15 gallon tank in my 86, with the guage on E, I need to add between 12-13 gallons. Remember when the guage is even on E, the tank still has a reserve. If the gas light on the idiot bar lights up, then your reserve is almost gone......by then you should need to fill up to almost 17 gallons for your car.
