cup holder?

I am not sure if all second gens are like this but mine is....it does not have a cup holder...so I put drinks in the little compartment next to my right elbow while driving....does anyone know of any way to put a cup holder in there other than using one of those ones from walmart that clips onto your door?

Well from the factory, these cars don't have any cupholders. In fact I don't think 3rd gens had them from the factory, but you could order a half din size one to put in the center console. I have one of these sitting around. You could place it in place of the equalizer/clock, but you may have to fab up some mounting brackets and time piece to go around it. It slides out and boom, you got a cup holder. The only problem that may arise from this is that it may bump into the shifter, or in my case, is completely blocked off if I had it out because my stereo folds out. I'd be willing to sell it to you for like $10 bucks plus shipping if you want to play around with it. Other than that, the other idea is to use the little clips, which look a little bad, but work.
Lemme know.

alright...I will be intouch with you...I dont know if I really want to pay for something like this...I am really not trying to sink very much money into this car at all...I was just wondering if people had come up with some 'rigs' to put one in the car some how and not look too bad

S is talking about a 1st Gen Alitma cup holder. I had one of those altimas and they were great. Of course in that car they designed the shifter to not interfere. But when cups were in the holder they totally blocked the Cd player and somtimes you got water/soda on the faceplate! Not good...

I also bought one of them from a junk yard and I think I paid $10 for it. I plan to put it in my truck or something. Both my Z and truck have no cup holders. I bought a mini center console (for minitrucks) with two cup holders from some place like walmart. I chopped off the back which just had the two cup holders and got rid of the coin tray/ect. I fastened that to the back of the center console in the Maxima. It doesn't look good enough for most of your cars but for mine function outweighs form right now. Its great for rear passengers but usually is used for the driver and passenger in front. Its better than nothing right now.
