struts for 87 Maxima

I am trying to replace the front struts on an 87 Max. I have used an assortment of hammers and frammers to try to get those lower strut bolts out. I have tried to drive them out and tried to screw them out with 250 pounds of torque on a breaker bar. I am told that they will come right out after you remove the nuts. Nope.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. I was going to replace them with the stock replacement, but now I would like to replace them with a performance strut for autocross. I would like some suggestions on which one to go with and prices.
Thanks Thomas

Best ones to probably go with are KYB GR2's. I have them on my car with Suspension Technique Springs, which also lowers the car 1.5". Combined with the other suspension things I have, this make a really good combination. The car handle extremely well compared to what it used to handle like.

I had one hell of a times getting mine out too you are just going to have to beat the $hit out of them to get them out and replace them with new ones.

Thanks,
I am ordering the KYB Gr-2's with the new mounts for the fronts.
I guess I will have to fram away.
Is there an easy replacement for those bolts and nuts?
I checked at the dealer $10.50 ea. for the bolts $3.00 ea. for the nuts.

there should be a kit that you can buy that comes with new nuts and bolts.
cause Ican't see spending 54 bucks for new one from the dealer(even tho it is worth the cost safty first)
