this is why i'm asking i looked at the post on page 3 called gxe or se
but mine has leather interrior so can it still be a gxe?
also what is the difference between se and se special edition
i thought i had a gxe untill i went online to buy a throttle position sensor.
if i chose se special edition the sensor says its for a "Nissan Maxima 3.0 SOHC SE Engine-VG30E Chassis-J30 Transmission-5MT,4AT Transmission Type-Auto"
but if i chose 3.0 4dr it says the sensor is for "Nissan Maxima 3.0 4dr Engine-VG30E Chassis-U11 Transmission-5MT,4AT Transmission Type-Manual
Throttle Switch Manual"
mine is an automatic so which sensor do i buy
if you think im missing something in the specs that may make a difference just ask me

GXE

SE would have black trim around the windows, no keyless entry etc etc. It's in one of the FAQ's.

Difference between SE and SE shiro edition is that the shiro edition is offered only in an "all white" exterior, and a seude leather interior.

thanks that helps i've been trying to figure out what trim i have for an eternity now. do you know what i should do about the sensor though?

You want to get the sensor for either the GXE, or automatic. I can't remember the difference between the 2, but I think part of it was because of the WOT position or something like that.
